Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor, producer, and director. She's been honored for films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The film Piano won her several awards and an Oscar. The talented actress began her acting career on the stage, performing in a variety of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. It has been an integral part of her interest. In the fifth grade she acted as Helen Keller. In the aftermath of suffering from Mumps, she went deaf to one side of her ear. The deafness did not stop her ambition to pursue a career as an actress. As a young woman she was a drama student in college and moved in New York City from Pittsburgh in order to fulfill her dream. Through a random encounter, she was stuck in an elevator and met playwright Beth Henley and the two joined forces to create the Broadway Crimes of the Heart that became Hunter's debut. When she moved to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to find film roles. A role in the supporting part was securing for her in Swing Shift. Holly Hunter has been in numerous movies, television shows as well as movies throughout the span of her career. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrity and has won the Women in Film Lucy Award.
